How to make your own healthy salad dressing in literally 2 minutes


This girl loves a good salad. I enjoy them, and I sometimes try to opt for a salad a healthy alternative to whatever I would typically get. The only problem is I usually put on so much dressing that the whole healthy part goes right out the window.

It got me thinking: How can I still enjoy my salad without overdoing it on the dressing?

The answer is: make your own. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it’s healthier.

When it comes to the ingredients, don’t stress. There are only six, and you probably already have them stocked in the house:


  • 1 cup of extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup of balsamic vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons of Italian seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon of Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of Salt
  • 1 table spoon of chopped Garlic


Once you have all your ingredients properly measured out place it a closed container of your choice, and shake it.

What you chose to put in your salad is completely up to you, but opting to make your salad more colorful with an assortment of vegetables is encouraged.

Eating healthy can be fun especially when it provides opportunities to get creative in the kitchen.
